Freshwater Mussel Finds

Our Aquatic Biologist, and Minnesota-native, Jenna Roller-Knapp was back in her home state this fall working to relocate mussels in the St. Croix River. We partnered with Daguna Consulting, LLC to locate, identify, and move freshwater mussel species from an area requiring maintenance activities. They were rewarded for their time in 65 degree water with many live mussels, including state and federally listed T&E species, like the federally-endangered Higgins’ Eye and state-endangered Pistolgrip.
